Rolf Günther worked in Eichmann’s RSHA section and became his standing deputy. His duties covered anti-Jewish policy, deportation, and contact with IV B 4 staff outside Berlin.
He remained in the section while Eichmann traveled or worked in Hungary. He died in U.S. custody in Aug 1945, apparently by suicide.
