About
Adolf Eichmann was an SS officer and a leading organizer of the deportation of Jews to ghettos and killing centers. He led Section IV B 4 of the Reich Security Main Office, which handled Jewish affairs and deportations.
After the war, Eichmann escaped to Argentina. Israeli agents captured him there in 1960. A court in Jerusalem convicted him in 1961, and he was executed in 1962.
